- Take 1 small Onion chopped
- Make ready As required Few Cherry Tomatoes halved
- Take As required Few Lettuce leaves roughly torn / chopped
- Take As required Few Italian Sweet Basil leaves chiffonaded (optional)
- Make ready as needed Freshly Crushed Black peppercorns

- Make ready 1-2 tbsps Balsamic Vinegar
Steps to make Basil Garlic Chicken with Fruit Insalata/ Salad (A Healthy Meal):
- First prepare the ingredients for salad. Put everything in a bowl except the salt, pepper and Balsamic vinegar. At the time of serving add the seasoning and serve fresh, till then keep it in the fridge and prepare the chicken.
- Slit open the the chicken breast. Sprinkle it with black pepper and salt. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan. Put the chicken breast and sear both sides, them add the basil, garlic, mushroom and chilli and cover and cook on a low or medium low flame for about 15-20 minutes. Turn the sides while it's cooking. Once done, put it on a plate and serve with the Fruit Salad.
- Note: (white sauce) If you want you can make white sauce with the remaining oil and butter mix in the Pan. After taking out the Chicken Breast, Mushrooms, add the maida and roast it for 2 minutes or so and then add the milk, stirring it while you pour to avoid lumps. Add in the salt and pepper and cook for few minutes. Once done, add it on top of the chicken and serve hot.
